TCHS graduation rate improves

Taylor County High School’s (TCHS) graduation rate for the 2015-16 school year exceeded the state average, although the district’s rate as a whole still lagged behind the state as well most of its neighbors.

The Florida Department of Education (DOE) released the figures Friday, noting that the statewide graduation rate climbed to 80.7 percent, an increase of 21.5 percentage points since 2003-04 and 2.8 percentage points over last year.
