Local teams compete in state softball tournament

Taylor County fielded four softball teams this past weekend in the Florida State Championships, part of the Babe Ruth Softball Trail, held at Southside Sports Complex in Lake City

The 14U all-star team, which won first place in the district, came up short of reaching championship status by falling in two games to WVAC and the Palatka all-stars.
