Steinhatchee man ejected from ATV

Steinhatchee man was airlifted to Shands Hospital in Gainesville Saturday night, July 8, after being seriously injured when he was thrown from an ATV.

Hayward McKinney II, 51, was traveling east on Roy’s Road when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of his 2000 Suzuki ATV. The four-wheeler rotated a quarter turn clockwise and then overturned onto its left side, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported.
