Manden Whiddon, 23, was back in court Monday afternoon to face a perjury charge after recanting sworn testimony related to the 2015 murder of longtime educator Shelly Strickland.
Circuit Judge Greg Parker appointed the office of public defender to represent Whiddon and then recused himself. (Parker had previously recused himself from earlier proceedings involving Whiddon, citing a conflict.)
