County approves 3% raise

In a surprise move, county commissioners voted to dip into its cash reserves to give county employees a 3% pay raise at the board’s regular meeting Monday, Nov. 6.

According to the county’s agenda, the board was scheduled to consider approval of a bonus for county employees, as presented by County Administrator Ted Lakey.
