New scholarship announced

Thanks to a generous contribution from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous, the Taylor County Historical Society has announced the establishment of a second college scholarship available to local graduating seniors.

The $1,500 scholarship will be awarded in honor of Korean War veteran, and former POW, Ed Sheffield, and in memory of the late Paul Evans, who was killed in action during the Vietnam War.

Applications for the scholarship will be available through local high school guidance departments.
