Members of the public with normal working hours will now have to decide if they want to take time off from work to attend county commission meetings, as county commissioners voted to move one of their two monthly meetings to 9 a.m. – instead of the usual 6 p.m. start time.
As part of the county’s annual reorganization held on Monday, commissioners re-elected Chairwoman Pam Feagle and vice-chairman Malcolm Page, made no changes to board personnel or committee appointments, but did surprise many
with a 5-0 vote in favor of moving their second meeting each month (held on the third Tuesday) to 9 a.m.
