Despite several attempts to lower the cost of what was originally described as a $50,000 building, the county commission will instead pay out $123,375 to construct rest room facilities at the Steinhatchee Public Boat Ramp.
At the county’s most recent Jan. 2 meeting, commissioners reviewed several options before deciding to pull additional funds from various accounts to cover a $49,736 shortfall between what was budgeted and the lone low bid that was submitted.
