TCSO awaiting report on inmate’s cause of death

The cause of death remains unknown for an inmate at the Taylor County Jail who fell ill New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, before being transported to the hospital and pronounced dead an hour later.

“Our investigation is on-going and we are waiting for the medical examiner’s report on the cause of death,” Sheriff Wayne Padgett said.
