The Boys & Girls Club of North Central Florida, which has three clubs in Taylor County, has been awarded $199,000 in grant funds that are underwriting the equivalent of 10 full-time service positions.
The grant was broken into two funding sources — $139,927.00 in federal dollars and $59,165 in scholarship funding to AmeriCorps volunteers.
PHOTO: Thanks to some $199,000 in federal funds and a grant from Americorps, the Boys & Girls Club is able to offer free tutoring for club members at all three of its locations. The combined grants fund the equivalent of 10 full-time positions.
