Red-handed suspect held at gunpoint

Burglary victims executed a reverse sting on the alleged culprit, capturing the would-be thief red-handed on a game camera and then held him at gunpoint until law enforcement arrived.

The incident played out Friday, Jan. 12, at a hunting camp located near the Madison-Taylor County line on SW Candler Street (Eridu/Greenville). Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) investigators arrested Anthony Todd Morgan, 44, of Perry, and charged him with burglary while armed, grand theft, trespassing while armed and resisting arrest without violence.
