The National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) will host its annual banquet on Feb. 10 beginning at 5 p.m. at the Taylor County Elementary School.
Ticket prices are: $20 for Jakes, $50 for singles, $70 for a couple, $270 to be a sponsor, $300 for a sponsoring couple and $650 to be a Boss Gobbler (which includes a table for
eight). Since 1973 the NWTF and its partners have raised and spent more than $331 million to conserve 15.9 million acres of habitat for all species of wildlife.
In addition to turkeys, a multitude of species, such as quail, woodcock, ruffled grouse, prairie chickens, pheasants and white-tailed deer benefit from the creation and enhancement of these wildlife habitats.
