16 BBTC students receive scholarships

The Economist in 2014, roughly 44 million Americans are in debt due to student loans, with the U.S. student loan debt exceeding $1.2 trillion. Thanks to CareerSource North Florida, 16 Big Bend Technical College (BBTC) students don’t have to become part of that statistic.

Sixteen students signed up for the new Diesel Mechanic Program offered at BBTC, and a $68,000 grant from CareerSource North Florida allowed each of the students to receive free tuition.
