Outgoing mail stolen

The outside mailboxes at the Perry Post Office were broken into over the weekend, with the unknown suspect(s) taking all of the outgoing mail deposited into the bins. The break-in was discovered early Monday morning, Jan. 29.

“We know the theft occurred sometime after they collected Saturday’s outgoing mail and Monday morning. We have no suspects at this time, and we reported the break-in to the postmaster,” Perry Police Department (PPD) Capt. Gene Franklin said.
