Lenora Campbell was a teenager when her one-year-old nephew, Kashawn Davis, and his two-year-old sister came to live with her family at their New Jersey home.
“They were babies and we took care of them. So he was really more like a little brother than a nephew. He was such a good boy, a nice young man,” Campbell said.
It is those memories that make his violent death all the more devastating. Davis died in a barrage of bullets and squeal of tires Wednesday night, Jan. 24, just one block from his Willow Street home.
