How to build a bee house Sat., Feb. 24

Want to be a busy bee? Join members of the Steinhatchee Garden Club in building bee houses Saturday, Feb. 24, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The cost is $25 per person and light refreshments will be served.

“You will build two houses — one for Mason bees and one for bumblebees. You will also learn how to care for them and how important they are for the pollination of our flowers and crops. A separate area will be set up for children ages 12 and up,” organizers said.

The deadline to register is Friday, Feb. 16. Payments must be received by Feb. 22 and can be mailed to P.O. Box 47, Steinhatchee, FL 32359.
