The county commission reaffirmed its commitment to protect and preserve the historic Hampton Springs Park during workshop discussions Thursday, committing to establish an advisory committee for the site.
The talks followed a resounding public outcry in the days after news of county crews filling the 110-year-old spring-fed pool at the site with broken chunks of concrete and rocks.
