Former sheriff killed in crash

John Wesley Walker, who served two terms as Taylor County sheriff, was killed Tuesday, March 13, in a three-vehicle crash on the Georgia-South Carolina line in Hart County, Ga. He was 77.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 17, at First Baptist Church in Perry, starting at noon.
