Support the Taylor County High School JROTC while eating good at this year’s “Picnic in the Park.”

The TCHS JROTC will host the picnic at Rosehead Park Saturday, March 24, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Make sure to come hungry, as the event will have hamburgers, hotdogs, Bratwurst, baked beans, potato salad, desserts and much more for $10. All proceeds go directly to the JROTC program.

There will be a deejay, door prizes and recruiters on site. A custom toolbox donated by CAM-LOCKER will be raffled off.

Sponsorships will also be available. The $100 “Private” sponsorship comes with two meals, 20 raffle tickets, one sponsor shirt and small print advertising. The $150 “Lieutenant” sponsorship will include four meals, 30 raffle tickets, two sponsor shirts and medium print advertising, while the $250 “Colonel” sponsorship comes with eight meals, 50 raffle tickets, three sponsor shirts and large print advertising.

The event will be held in conjunction with the 2018 “Touch-A-Truck.” “Bring imagination to real life with a chance to climb into fire engines, police cars, tractors and more,” organizers said. “Touch-A-Truck” will be held from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Other activities will include live demonstrations, learning activities and free tobacco cessation information and tools.
