James Jeffrey Towles, 48, died March 24, 2018, in Perry. James was born Nov. 21, 1969, in Perry to James Kay Towles and Betty Jean Bodiford Towles.
Jeff was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Athena Baptist Church. He worked in the construction industry as a pipe fitter for 30 years.
Jeff was one of kind, an extremely talented person who excelled at most anything he set his mind to. He was one of those “annoying” people who was good at most everything.
He loved the outdoors and was a good hunter and superb fisherman. He taught many of us the Taylor County coast line, which he knew like the back of his hand.
Jeff had a passion for music of any kind; he introduced so many of us to bands we have never heard of. He had a knack for being at the right place at the right time. He played guitar, base, drums; he just had an ear for music which is why he was great deejay.
Jeff loved to cook and entertain, have friends over to grill and watched his beloved Seminoles. For Jeff, there were no strangers.
Jeff was preceded in death by: his father, James Kay Towles.
Jeff is survived by: his wife, Kim Towles; his four children, Devaney, Kaleb, Kalie and Carli; his step-daughter, Mindy (Robert) Hunter; his mother, Betty Jean Towles; his brother, John (Tasha) Towles; his nephew, Wyatt; his niece, Ella; and his two grandchildren, Bentley Fedor and Braxton Hunter.
