Why is seat still vacant?

At the same April 2 meeting the Taylor County Commission adopted a resolution to honor the late Commissioner Frank Russell, fellow board members and local residents questioned why Florida Governor Rick Scott has yet to appoint a replacement to fill his vacant seat.

“I don’t like sitting here looking at that empty seat,” said local resident Cindy Moore. “Why has no one been appointed to fill it yet?”
