Eston Donald Hendry, 82, passed away quietly at his home in Perry on April 2, 2018. Eston was born on June 28, 1935, in Taylor County, to the late Talmadge and Zula Slaughter Hendry.
Eston was a member of Three Rivers Hunting Club where he enjoyed hunting deer. He also enjoyed fishing and was an active member of the men’s group at Midway Baptist Church.
Eston was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, Delton and Hershel Hendry; and two sisters, Eula Brown and Jimmie Lee Barker.
He is survived by: his wife of 56 years, Betty Sheffield Hendry; a daughter, Camy Keele and her husband, David; a son, Kal Hendry and his wife, Beth; three grandchildren, Andrew, Kaley, and Timmy Hendry; and two sisters, Velma Towles and her husband, Jim, and Pansy Carlton and her husband, Ralph.
Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Bro. Marc Pargo, Bro. Danny Lundy, and Bro. Jack Anderson officiating. Interment will follow immediately afterward in Pisgah Cemetery. The family received friends Tuesday, April 3, from 6-8 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home.
