    Downtown spring head a step closer to restoration

    The spring head at Folsom Park on Center Street has loomed large in Perry lore for well over a century.

    Legend has it that the very first pioneer settlers camped at the spring, and that the abundance of wild roses found there led to Perry’s first namesake, “Rosehead.”
