Garbage. Vegetative debris. Trash.
Over the past several months, city residents have received a crash course in vocabulary as far as what each of those terms means in relation to garbage collection services within the city limits.
On Tuesday, the Perry City Council drove home the point by unanimously approving a comprehensive re-write of its garbage and trash ordinance that slashed archaic language (such as provisions requiring houses to provide their own cans) and added designated “Trash Pickup Zones” for the collection of items generally known as “white goods.”
