Almost exactly one year after spending nearly three months in an ICE detention facility and coming within hours of being deported, Perry businessman Rudy Blanco and his family could finally breathe a deep sigh of relief Tuesday, when a federal immigration judge terminated his deportation order and granted the Cuban native permanent residency.
Flashing his familiar huge, infectious smile as he exited the judge’s chambers, Blanco exclaimed, “Thank you Jesus. I am the luckiest man alive! I feel like I just won the lottery!”
