Patricia Glenda Hicks Taylor, 82, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018, in Palatka.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 21, from 9-10 a.m. at Beggs Funeral Home in Perry, with graveside services following at 11 a.m. at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Lee.

Patricia was born Jan. 4, 1936, in Perry to Glenn and Ruby Hicks. She grew up in Perry and graduated from Taylor County High School. After graduating from business college, she worked for the State of Florida HRS for 33 years in Jacksonville and Tallahassee. She and her husband, the Rev. Troy E. Taylor, retired and moved back to Perry in 1990. After her husband passed away in 2002, she moved to Palatka to be close to her son, Glenn Taylor.

Patricia was a devout Christian who loved the Lord. She served Him all the days of her life and was a faithful member of New Home Baptist Church in Perry.

She was predeceased in death by: her parents, Glenn and Ruby Hicks; her husband, the Rev. Troy E. Taylor; and her brother, Walter Hicks Sr.

She is survived by: her son, Glenn R. Taylor (Ruth); her daughter, Annette Taylor of Pomona Park; her sister-in-law, Linda Hicks; her nephew, Walter Hicks; her great-nephew, Grayson Hicks and great-niece, Brooke Hicks, all of Perry.
