The first and third Saturday mornings of each month are pretty predictable for Kristy Bethea Anderson: she works in the food pantry at First United Methodist Church, sharing the community’s abundance with those who need it most.
On Saturday, April 21, however, her morning of sharing food ended with an exclamation point, as friends and co-workers directed her to the church’s Memorial Hall “where someone needs to see you.”
That “someone” was actually a gathering of 40-plus friends, relatives and co-workers who applauded as Anderson was recognized as the 2018 Lady of the Year by the Mu Omega chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.

Not pictured, but a special guest at the ceremony, was Kristy’s mother, Rodna Williams of Tarpon Springs.
