The Taylor County Commission has two firms interested in helping write and administer grants funded by $4.75 million in administrative fines and civil penalties levied after the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
Most of the funds will be used to dredge the county’s coastal canals – a project that is expected to cost up to $5.9 million and take 15 years to complete.
