Mother Nature does the twist

The Taylor County coastline has seen a series of impressive waterspouts over the past week, sending scallopers and boaters scurrying to safety on shore, while local residents held their breath and snapped photos.

On Saturday, June 30, two large waterspouts — funnel-shaped tornado clouds that appear over water — formed in front of Dekle Beach, with one tracking north toward Spring Warrior, according to Lin and Amy Gray.
