    Posted on July 13, 2018

Roy David Davis, 53, died July 9, 2018, with his wife, Becky, by his side. Roy David Davis was known as “Bull Bear” to the Native American community, but was fondly called “Bull” by those close to him.

After a short stay at Gulf Coast Hospital due to complications with diabetes, Bull was transferred to the care of Covenant Hospice at Bay Medical Center, both in Panama City, where he succumbed to his illness and went to be with his Creator and ancestors.

Bull was born Dec. 30, 1964, in Arcadia, to Roy Albert and Margie Davis.

Bull was an active member of the Gopher Hill clan in Northwestern Florida. He honored his native heritage by serving in the capacity of Head Warrior as a member of the Seven Rivers Warrior Society.

Bull worked in Perry for years at North Florida Concrete, E.R. Yunna Rock Mine and Sadler Drums and Containers, to name a few. He volunteered as a firefighter and first-responder for Mossy Pond. He loved hunting, fishing and having his family around. He was just like his mother – he never met a stranger and had many friends. He is loved and will be missed by many.

Bull was preceded in death by: his parents; and his grandson, Lamar Anthony Braddy.

He is survived by: his loving wife, Becky; his daughter, Lacey Davis; his grandson, Lashawn Braddy; his sister, Darlene Davis; his brother, Donald Davis; his niece, Brandy Harvey; and his nephew, Emery Sadler Jr.

Service arrangements are being made for a later date.
