Doctors’ Memorial Hospital (DMH) Board Chairman Ken Arnold and several board members attended the county’s Monday budget workshop to call on commissioners to “help us keep the doors open” by committing a portion of one-cent sales tax revenues to pay for future capital improvements and equipment needs.
Arnold thanked commissioners for their past support and pointed out the one-cent sales tax was previously used to repay a bond issue that funded the construction and equipping of the new hospital.
