New rules outlined for Hampton Springs Park

With the Taylor County Commission having already approved a “park host” plan for Hampton Springs, the board is now considering a new set of rules for the park in an attempt to help reduce vandalism and other damage at the historic landmark.

Rampant vandalism at the site, located some five miles west of Perry off U.S. Highway 98, prompted the county to establish the Hampton Springs Advisory Committee, which recommended establishing the “park host” position as well as well the proposed list of rules.
