County recreation coordinator fired following arrest

Recreation Coordinator Pat Dew, who oversaw operations at the Taylor County Sport Complex, was terminated Monday following his weekend arrest for burglary and battery.

Dew worked with the county for three and one-half years; County Administrator Ted Lakey and Environmental Services Director Gary Wambolt will determine how Dew’s duties will be reassigned until a replacement is hired, according to the county’s human resources director, Marsha Durden.
