Commission to re-open budget talks on Aug. 30

For the first time since voting 3-2 to tentatively raise the county’s property tax (millage) rate nearly 7% next year, commissioners will meet to discuss their 2018-19 budget on Aug. 30 at 9 a.m.

During the county’s most recent regular meeting on Monday, Clerk of Court Annie Mae Murphy, County Administrator Ted Lakey and at least two commissioners requested the county hold a special meeting to further discuss the budget.
