Georgia-Pacific Foley Cellulose mill officials report they have identified and corrected the source of an unusual odor reported by local citizens on Monday.
In response to questions from members of the public regarding a strong and unusual odor – that some compared to a cat “marking its territory” – Foley Cellulose Mill Public Affairs Manager Scott Mixon issued the following statement: “We received several questions and concerns on Monday about an unusual odor noticed by residents in our community. Primarily, we want to assure the community that there is no danger to the health of nearby residents.
