The Perry City Council voted unanimously last week to move forward with Phase I of its long-awaited downtown canopy/balcony project, utilizing grant funds and its portion of one-cent sales tax revenues to cover the estimated $1.2 million cost.
The bid was awarded to Oliver Sperry Renovation of Tallahassee, which was the lone bidder on the project.
