Arlene J. Barretta, 82, of Perry passed away Aug. 10, 2018, at her home after a long illness.
She was born in Teaneck, N.J. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Gertrude Barretta.
In 1971, she moved to Westtown, N.Y., with her family and from there to Cobleskill, N.Y.
She retired from Stiefel Inc. in Oak Hill, N.Y., where she worked as a machine operator for 13 years, retiring in 2006 and moving to Florida
She is survived by her children, Lori Armstrong of Jacksonville, Leslie Baxter of Perry, George Armstrong of Perry, Ronald Armstrong Sr. of Daytona Beach, Beth (Edward) Ewanciw of Westtown, N.Y., and Tracy Armstrong of Jacksonville; her grandsons, Ronald (Caitlin) Armstrong Jr. of Jacksonville, George (Brittany) Armstrong III of LaPorte, Texas, and Hunter Armstrong of Perry; and three great-grandchildren, Kylee, Zeke and Remington Armstrong.
She also leaves behind three sisters, Celeste Barretta of Port Charlotte, Colette Barretta of Middleburgh, N.Y., and Althea Nolan of Harrington Park, N.J., as well as many nieces and nephews.
Arlene was predeceased by her two dear brothers, Arthur and Alfred Barretta, and also her best friend, her grandmother Angelina Barretta.

A celebration of life in memory of Arlene will be held on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 2-4 p.m. at the Middleburgh
Fire House (127 Railroad Ave. Middleburgh, N.Y. 12122).
