Luella Elease Jacobs Bodiford

Luella Elease Jacobs Bodiford, 89, died Aug. 24, 2018 in Perry. Elease was born April 7, 1929, in Medcalf, Ga., to Lonnie Willis Jacobs and Nadine Redd Jacobs.

Elease enjoyed sewing and cooking.

Elease was preceded in death by: her parents, Lonnie and Nadine Jacobs; her husband, Bill Bodiford; five brothers, Carlos Jacobs, Eugene Jacobs, Wayne Jacobs, Naught Jacobs and L. W. Jacobs; and one sister, Juanita McWatters.

She is survived by: her children, Thomas Sadler (Cathy), Diane Morris (Tim Aldous), Elisa Foskey (Shannon) and Mary Bodiford; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Edie McDonald (Terry), Joyce Fletcher and Lavater Johnson (Tom); two brothers, James Edwards Jacobs (Bitsy) and Percy Jacobs (Ginger); a special friend, Betty Wells; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 27, at 1 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Bro. Hurstle Laxton officiating. Interment services followed immediately afterwards in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family received friends from 12-1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
