TCHS to cheer at UF game

Taylor County High School (TCHS) Varsity Cheerleaders have been invited to perform with other varsity and junior varsity squads during pregame festivities at the University of Florida
versus Kentucky game Saturday, Sept. 8, as part of Varsity Spirit Day in Gainesville.

“This is truly an amazing experience for these young ladies. The girls have to learn a motion sequence/dance that is provided by Varsity Spirit. They have been working on this dance for a couple of weeks,” Sponsor Janet Johnstono said.

“The day of the event, each team will meet and have a clinic with instructors from Varsity (National Cheerleaders Association) and a “meet and greet” with the coach and cheerleaders from the University of Florida,” she said.

“Each girl will receive a t-shirt that they will wear during their performance. I am extremely proud of the hard work these girls have shown in learning the dance. I am sure this will be a memorable experience for each of these girls.”
