2 pounds of heroin, meth seized along with 17 pounds of synthetic cannabis

The Perry Police Department (PPD) announced Thursday one of the largest illegal drug seizures in the county’s history – nearly two pounds each of heroin and crystal methamphetamine (also known as “ice”), as well as two pounds of cannabis and 17 pounds of synthetic cannabis.

The methamphetamine seizure is now the largest in the county’s history, coming less than a month after a 1.2-pound seizure of “ice” with a street value of $40,000 by the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) on Aug. 23.
