The Taylor County School District and local emergency responders will hold a “live active shooter drill” Monday, Sept. 17, at the Taylor County High School from 7 a.m. to noon. All roads near and around the school will be blocked off, and the campus will be closed to the public.
“This is a teacher’s planning day, so no students will be on campus,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Danny Glover Jr. said.
“The main thing we would like to say to parents and all residents — this is just a drill. Please do not be alarmed, or come to the school,” he said.
