Solid waste assessment debated at budget meet

At a second and final budget hearing held Monday afternoon, county commissioners adopted the same millage (property tax) rate as in the current budget year and approved a budget that includes a small 1.4% increase in expenses.

The majority of Taylor County taxpayers should not see an increase in their county tax bill unless they made improvements or had a change in their property assessment.
