Wanted man cuts ankle monitor, flees

A Perry man wanted on an active probation warrant was arrested in Madison Tuesday after cutting off his ankle monitor and fleeing into the woods.

K-9 teams from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), along with teams from both the Madison and Hamilton correctional institutions, tracked Dale Ray Evans Jr., 21, for more than two hours before apprehending him.
