Felton Stanley English, 76, died Sept.18, 2018, in Temple Terrace surrounded by his family. Felton was born June 15, 1942, in Shady Grove to G.W. English and Blannie Leona Blanton English.
Felton honorably served our country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a Christian of the Baptist faith. Felton retired from Florida Power as a welder. Being raised in Shady Grove, he learned to love to fish and hunt and just being in the outdoors in general. He loved family gatherings with good food and fellowship.
Felton was preceded in death by: his parents, G.W. English and Blannie Leona English; his sister, Myrtle Eubank; and his brother, Autman English.
Felton is survived by: his wife of 54 years, Betty English; his children, Stanley English, Steve (Wendy) English and Stuart English; his brothers, Austin (Wilma) English, Franklin (Anita) English, George English, Ander (Vivian) English and Wayne (Bonnie) English; and his sisters, Essie Folsom, Mavis Hamm, Dessie Mae King, Adell (James) Snead and Margie (Don) Sheffield; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 22, at 2 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Elder Gary Blanton and Elder Bert Holden officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterwards in Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Felton’s honor to Big Bend Hospice.
