‘Team Crews Marine’ wins Pro Redfish Series tourney

Taylor County-based “Team Crews Marine” — made up of David Crews and Robert Hunter — finished up the 2018 Florida Pro Redfish Series season by winning the third and final tournament in the Big Bend Division held out of Steinhatchee on Saturday, Sept. 22.

The first-place finish in the final tournament — thanks to a pair of redfish weighing 6.17 and 7.40 lbs. — earned Crews and Hunter a $10,000 check (in addition to a first-place Calcutta win of $1,000) and vaulted the team into sole possession of first place in the Big Bend Division’s “Team of the Year” race, which came with a Pro Series Power Pole.
