TCI officers attacked by 15 inmates

Several officers were injured Thursday at Taylor Correctional Institution (TCI) after being assaulted by more than a dozen inmates at the Main Unit during the evening meal service.

The incident, described as a “mini-riot,” was “quickly brought under control due to the swift response of institutional staff and special response teams,” Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) Press Secretary Patrick Manderfield said.
