    Become a Master Gardener! Register by Nov. 1

    The deadline to register for the upcoming Master Gardener class is Thursday, Nov. 1.

    The 10-week course will begin in January, and the cost is $100 (which includes all hands-on material and books).

    “If you love gardening and want to learn more about plants and growing things, the Master Gardener program could be for you,” said program alum Debbie Ross.

    Each class will cover a different topics such as: soils, fertilizers, composting, general botany, landscape design components, vegetable gardening, plant propagation and pesticide handling.
    Field trips and guest speakers will also be scheduled.

    A minimum of 15 students is needed in order to hold the class.

    In return for the satisfactory completion of the horticultural training program, Master Gardeners are asked to volunteer 75 hours within the first year following their training.
