Walker to speak at library Oct. 29

The Friends of the Taylor County Public Library will present guest author Delores Leggett Walker on Monday, Oct. 29, from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Walker, of Mayo, is a newspaper columnist and author of several novels.

Her latest book, “Daddy’s Supper Tales,” is “a heartwarming saga (memoir) of a gifted and loving family in which the history of the Leggett family is viewed through their story by the ones who lived the memories and know it best,” Walker said. “The tales are mostly stories Daddy told at the supper table while we were was growing up in Perry.”

There will be light refreshments and a door prize. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library, and will be at the Taylor County Public Library, 403 N. Washington Street. Admission is free and open to the public.
