Citing a number of job performance issues and lack of local community involvement, county commissioners voted 4-0 to terminate the employment of County Administrator Ted Lakey during a special meeting held Wednesday morning.
The special meeting was originally called to review the results of an audit of local probation services provided by East Coast Court Services, but the agenda was amended to include discussion of the county administrator’s contract just prior to 2 p.m. the day before.
