“Forget the mess at home and come decorate your own gingerbread house with us!”
That’s the message from organizers of a Gingerbread House Workshop planned in conjunction with the Downtown Christmas Open House and Taylor County Historical Society’s “MayPerry Christmas” celebration planned Friday, Dec. 7.
Gingerbread houses and a candy bar will be set up at the Perry Masonic Lodge.
“We will provide the decorating supplies. You bring your creativity and holiday spirit,” said 4-H Extension Agent Abbey Tharpe, who is coordinating the event.
Registration forms are available at the Taylor County Extension Office. The cost is $10 per child. The deadline to register is Friday, Nov. 30, and participation is limited to the first 40 participants.
The workshop will open at 5:30 p.m.
The event is being sponsored by UF/IFAS Extension, Optimist Club of Perry, the Chamber of Commerce, Perry Masonic Lodge and the Taylor County Historical Society.
